A compact house for a sloping plot, arranged around a water court. The study tests a Kerala courtyard type in a contemporary construction language.

Architectural concept
Four wings hold the court. Cross-ventilation is drawn through every room. The roof is a single, low plane that throws a deep shadow on the veranda.
Design approach
Levels follow the land rather than flattening it. Bedrooms sit to the cooler side; the kitchen and work room face morning light. Demonstration photography only.
