A renovation of a family house: better light, a clearer plan and rooms that can take another generation. The original roof line is kept.

Architectural concept
Open the centre, keep the edges. A new court is cut into the plan so air can move. Old rooms are not discarded; they are given a second job.
Design approach
New work is distinct but not loud. Plaster meets older masonry cleanly. Services are re-run so the ceilings can be quiet again. Demonstration photography only.
